KAVALAN SINGLE MALT 40% ABV
King Car distillery is located in Yilan County, Taiwan, and the single malt whisky produced there is named after the indigenous people who originally inhabited this Northern Eastern corner of the island: The Kavalan. Although the Distillery was only brought on the stream in 2005, the warm sub-tropical climate means that the whisky effectively matures more quickly.

Not often is the answer, and the question was rhetorical so anyway, released in 2009, this is South Africa`s first ever single grain whisky, coming from The James Sedgewick Distillery in Wellington. Bains Cap Mountain whisky is produced in column stills, matured in first fill bourbon casks for five years and named after the chap who built the first roads in Wellington.
